Type species is Oramincola gen. nov. pilipes, current accepted name Azelota pilipes (Walker, 1870).

Oramincola gen. nov. pilipes is synonymous with Acridium pilipes, Walker, Azelota pilipes, Kirby, Happarana pilipes, Sjöstedt.

Included species: Azelota pilipes. In addition Key (1986) lists one undescribed species in Genus Novum 47, now Oramincola gen. nov

Etymology: The name Oramincola gen. nov. is derived from the Latin for “coast dweller” in reference to the habitat of the genus.
