Timothy Hammer

Tim received his PhD from The University of Western Australia (Australia) in 2019, completing his doctoral thesis on the taxonomy and evolution of the Australian plant genus Ptilotus (Amaranthaceae). During his postgraduate education, Tim published numerous papers on the taxonomy of Ptilotus and relatives in Amaranthaceae, leading to the authorship of over 20 new names, including two new genera and eight new species and publishing an identification key for the genus.
