Timothy Collins
I am about to complete a PhD research degree at the University of New England, Armidale NSW, examining the taxonomy of paper daisies in the genera Xerochrysum and Coronidium (Asteraceae; Gnaphalieae) from across Australia. My BSc Honours project examined the taxonomy of Eucalyptus magnificata and lead to the discovery of a new species, E. dalveenica. My research draws upon multiple lines of evidence including phytochemical, morphological and molecular data to delimit species and infer evolutionary relationships. I am passionate about conservation and reconciliation (amongst other things!).
