Males of Hesperonatalius can be distinguished from those of all genera in the anamid subfamily Teylinae (Namea, Proshermacha, Teyl and Teyloides) by the presence of a short cymbium lacking a medial constriction (Fig. 2J, K), and further by the presence of cuspule patches extending laterally on the maxillae (Fig. 2H) (cuspules generally restricted to a narrow medial band in Teylinae).
Within Anaminae, males of Hesperonatalius can be distinguished from those of Aname by the absence of an asetose depression on the pedipalp tibia (Fig. 2K) and the presence of spines on the posterior tarsi (Fig. 2I), and from Kwonkan and Swolnpes by the absence of a patch of spinules on the retrolateral surface of the pedipalp tibia (Fig. 2K).
Females of Hesperonatalius are currently unknown.
