Adult Courtship Display by Wild Penultimate Maratus pavonis in Western Australia

A Maratus pavonis colony within a coastal, Western Australian, industrial site garden bed, was observed with penultimate male juveniles performing the adult courtship display in the wild. This was finally captured photographically after 2 years of observing the behavior in previous Maratus seasons.
The only other known recorded instance of penultimate male Maratus performing this courtship was observed in a lab reared Maratus speciosus (Peckhamia 122.1, Feb 2015, Otto & Hill)
