anonyous profile.jpg

I have been researching Western Australia’s fishes for more than 25 years and involved with the WA Museum Fish Section since 2002 (Curator since 2012). My primary interest is in the taxonomy, biodiversity and biogeography of both marine and freshwater fishes. I actively collaborate on many and diverse projects with a range of research agencies, government and community stakeholders. My research involves taxonomy, genetics, biodiversity, biogeography, ecology and evolution of fishes as well as other fauna and museology. I like to spend time in the field with the animals I study, including to extremely remote marine and terrestrial regions. I regularly use outreach opportunities to engage with the general public, raising awareness about fishes through popular publications, media, public enquiries and citizen science initiatives.
