Silverfish taxonomy has been an interest of mine for over 40 years but only since retirement have I been able to devote real attention to it. Australia has a rich but poorly known silverfish fauna but I can only identify to a named species about 5-10% of the material I collect. There just isn't enough time for me to describe all the species I have already collected and have only sampled a small part of this continent. However given my age I stand little chance of making a big dent in the work required and there is nobody following in my footsteps.
