Systematic botanist - formerly employed at the National Herbarium of NSW and now an Honorary Research Associate there. Plant groups of particular research interest: Casuarinaceae (she-oaks), Cyperaceae (sedges), Juncaceae (rushes) and Polgyonaceae (docks, lignum, smartweeds, etc.). Also interested in interactive identification tools. Over a 40+ year career in botany also involved in national and international organisations and projects in biodiversity informatics and nomenclature.
