A national and international authority on the identification and classification of terrestrial land planarians, on which I have worked for some 47 years. Current research interests include the taxonomy, systematics and biogeography of terrestrial flatworms of the Australian zoogeographic region, identification of invasive species of terrestrial flatworms world-wide, functional anatomy of the copulatory organs of terrestrial flatworms, and support of citizen science initiatives. Regularly undertake identifications of land planarians for iNaturalist.
