I grew up in Canada and through an innovative work-study program at my undergrad uni, ended up describing a new species. I was hooked on museums and museum research from that time on. I feel lucky to call Western Australia home and am equally excited and challenged by the molluscape here. My focus is on marine bivalves with a working knowledge of other molluscs. I tackle research questions about biodiversity and taxonomy through to molecular phylogenetics and evolution.
