I am the collection manger of sessile marine invertebrates of the Queensland Museum. The main groupsI work on identifying adn describing new species are sponges, octocorals, ascidians and cnidaria. Current research is on describing new species of carnivorous sponges from the abyss.
Research also include population dynamics of sponges on deep sea mounts in the Pacific Ocean, and the connectivity between these seamounts.
I did my PhD on the population genetics of a fungus Sclerotinia infecting sunflowers in Australia
