The flowering plant genus Tribonanthes is one of the most challenging in its family (the bloodroots, Haemodoraceae). Restricted to southwest Western Australia, many species are variable and some are difficult to resolve and partition into taxa.
In this paper in the Western Australian Herbarium's journal Nuytsia, botanists Ellen Hickman and Steve Hopper revise the genus Tribonanthes, describe four new species, and create an infrageneric classification.
Ellen Hickman is a skilled botanical artist, and both the taxonomic study and paper have been substantially helped by her observational and painting skills.
