Two new species of Asterolasia (Rutaceae) in eastern Australia

Researchers from the National Herbarium of New South Wales have recently described two new species in the plant genus Asterolasia (Rutaceae) in the journal Telopea. The species A. exasperata and A. sola are from the Northern Tablelands, New South Wales and Carnarvon Range, Queensland respectively. The two new species were segregated from the widespread A. correifolia based on multiple morphological characters. Asterolasia correifolia is retained in the narrow sense and is endemic to New South Wales.
